The composition is set in a lush, idyllic landscape with towering trees and soft, atmospheric lighting. The figures display a sense of movement and spontaneity, characteristic of Fragonard’s style, which often emphasized themes of leisure, love, and playful aristocratic pastimes. The colors are bright and pastel-like, with a warm palette that enhances the painting's lighthearted mood.
