About Cauliflower: If you didn't know, the word "cauliflower" derives from the Italian cavolfiore, meaning "cabbage flower". Cauliflower is one of several vegetables in the species Brassica oleracea that also includes cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, and kale. There are hundreds of varieties of cauliflower grown around the world. Pelicans frequent inland and coastal waters, where they feed principally on fish, catching them at or near the water surface. They use their long beak and a large throat pouch to catch prey and drain the water from the scooped-up contents before swallowing. There are eight living pelican species today. The one in today's puzzle is a great white pelican, also known as the eastern white pelican, rosy pelican or white pelican.
